Presets: Pre-configured Experimental Paradigms¶
What are Presets?¶
A preset is a mechanism which adds a number of tasks to an experiment, pre-configured with parameters and stimuli to match a well-known existing paradigm. This allows you to quickly implement established psychological assessments without manually configuring each task.
How to Use¶
To add a preset to your experiment:
- Create or open an experiment
- Click the Add pre-configured tasks button
- Choose the preset you want
Review and customize the newly added tasks — they'll appear at the end of your experiment with default settings and original stimuli. You can adjust these if you wish.
Available Presets¶
CMTF (Cambridge Bicycle Memory Test)
Recognition memory test using bicycles as a non-face control condition.
CBMT (Cambridge Body Memory Test)
Recognition memory test for human bodies (without faces) to compare with face recognition mechanisms.
CCMT (Cambridge Car Memory Test)
Recognition memory test using cars to assess general object recognition abilities.
CFPT (Cambridge Face Perception Test)
Measures face perception ability. Participants sort 6 morphed faces by similarity to a target face across 16 trials, including inverted faces.
VVIQ (Vividness of Visual Imagery Questionnaire)
A 16-item questionnaire measuring individual differences in vividness of visual imagery. Participants rate mental images across four scenarios on a 5-point scale.
