Information Task¶
The Information task allows you to present formatted text, with embedded images and videos, to your participants. Use it to display instructions, explanations, or any other content that participants need to read before continuing with your experiment.
This task is typically used at the beginning of an experiment to explain what participants will do, or between other tasks to provide context or instructions for upcoming sections.
Parameters¶
Customize the Information task by changing these on the Parameters tab.
Main text-
The content to display to the participant. You can use the toolbar to format the text with headings, bold, italic, lists, and more.
How to include images
Paste a URL directly into the editor to insert an image or video. For images not yet hosted online, you can use a public GitHub repository (link to the "raw" file) or an image hosting service like Imgur.
Fullscreen button-
Whether to display a fullscreen toggle button in the bottom toolbar. When enabled, participants can switch between fullscreen and windowed mode.
Data¶
The Information task does not collect response data—it simply displays content to the participant. The only data recorded is task completion (whether the participant clicked the continue button).
